Field Trips
The sights and sounds of children laughing, learning and playing are music to our souls at Kaska Family Farm. Having grown up on farms, we believe it’s important that children have the chance to be exposed to the rich learning environment a farm can afford. Offering educational field trips to pre-school and elementary age students is a priority for us at Kaska Family Farm.
We invite you to come out and spend the day with us to enjoy a fun, informative and unique learning experience with your students.

Teaching Resources
Hands-on learning experiences are always best when students have been prepared for what they are about to encounter and are able to then discuss what they learned afterwards. We are pleased to offer our Classroom in the Corn learning series to make your field trip more exciting and memorable…as well as a better learning experience.
These Teacher Resource Guides are broken into separate grade ranges and each include: activity goals, National Curriculum Standards, preparation required, materials needed, worksheets, and step-by-step instructions.

School Tour Check List!
- Supervision is required at the ratio of one adult for every five children. For very large groups, consider appointing leaders who are free of group supervisory duties in order to provide overall assistance as needed.
- Dress appropriately! This is an all outdoor activity. We do not recommend sandals or open-toed shoes. We also strongly encourage play clothes that can stand up to a little fun in the dirt and grass. Children may need light jackets, hats or even sunscreen and/or bug repellent.
- The farm does not open during the event of excessive rain or extreme weather. Please call or check our website for current weather conditions before departing if weather could be a problem.
- We have restroom and hand washing facilities on site.
- Easily accessible parking for buses and cars.
- Shaded tent area and plenty of picnic tables for eating.
- Remember to get directions and maps!
Please visit the For Teachers section for additional lesson plans, curriculum, coloring sheets and more things that will make your field trip even more fun and informative.
